International School's Workshops
In February 2019, we began conducting Stop-Motion animation programs in Victoria, Australia. Our first two-month artist-in-residency workshop is currently taking place with Grade 3 and 4 students at a local school in Melbourne. The theme of the project is 'Earth, Body, Mind and Heart' and combines a full month of stop-motion animation, followed by a second month of live theatre exploration, featuring large paper Bunraku and shadow puppets.
Master puppeteer and puppetry-in-education consultant, Gary Friedman, uses the media of puppetry, object manipulation, stop-motion animation, movement and storytelling to bring an innovative level of creativity into any teaching environment in any country. Responses to our Workshops
This type of creativity is showing students that they can reach their potential – that they can have confidence in whom they are and that they can do anything they set out to do. – Deputy Principal, Curl Curl North Public School, Australia
The topics we covered were tolerance, resilience, leadership, becoming everyday heroes at school, which was really valuable. It was one of the most rewarding experiences that I’ve ever had. – Teacher, Strathfield High School, Australia
I completely energised myself, exhausted myself, took a lot of creative risks, had a lot of fun, laughed a lot and by the end of the day I felt more alive than I’ve felt in a long time. - Head of Drama, Vienna International School, Austria
